Inland Island Highway re-opens after major MVA

Looks like a motorcycle lost control and crashed in the northbound lanes on the Inland Island Highway just south of the Cumberland turnoff. The two on board the motorbike were taken to hospital with severe injuries, and the investigation continues on exactly what happened. Goat News spoke with RCMP Constable Don Sinclair.

The highway was briefly shut down to clear away the scene but it has since re-opened this afternoon. Drive BC reports the accident happened 16 K’s south of the Cumberland turnoff in the northbound lanes. There were no witnesses to the accident.
