Crew from the Baynes Sound Connector cable ferry launched a rescue boat to help pull a swimmer from the waters of Buckley Bay on Saturday afternoon.
B.C. Ferries received a call just after 12:00 p.m. to help a 14-year old boy swimming off shore.
The crew launched a rescue boat and pulled the boy from the water.
He was transported to shore to a waiting ambulance.

Ferry service between Buckley Bay and Denman Island was halted during the rescue.
