The Comox Valley RCMP are asking both drivers and pedestrians to be safe out there, with school back in session on Monday.
Constable Don Sinclair says drivers need to be reminded that some speed limits change during school days.
He also has plenty of tips for any students that walk home from school. Sinclair says please do not walk and text as it makes you less aware of your surroundings, cross at crosswalks, and walk on sidewalks if you can. He adds to take your headphones out when crossing the street, and to dress to be seen, by wearing bright, reflective clothing.
