The Comox Valley Regional District Water Committee is sending a letter of concern to the Dam Safety Branch over Perseverance Creek.
Committee Chair Bob Wells says slides in the area have caused high levels of turbidity in the creek which has impacted the Comox Valley water system.
He says they are hoping the province can help find a solution.
Wells says the RD is moving forward on building a water filtration system, but it makes sense to also take steps to address known turbidity issues at the same time.
