New highway cameras have been installed to help drivers plan their trips to Vancouver Island. The four new highway cameras are on the Island Highway, while one is in the city of Courtenay.
Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Ashok Bhatti says the goal is to provide better information so drivers can plan their trips.
The new cameras are located along the highway between Courtenay and Victoria, and also includes a new camera at the intersection of Ryan and Lerwick in Courtenay, just up the road from the Little River ferry terminal.
The cameras are up and running on the DriveBC website.
