The North Island Hospitals Project has hit another milestone.
Chief Project Officer Tom Sparrow says both the facilities in the Comox Valley and Campbell River have been energized. Sparrow says this now allows crews to test out a bevy of different systems contained at the hospitals.
Sparrow says the contractors have also hit the targets of reducing electrical use by 50% for every floor in the building and reducing green house gas emission of 73% – making them the most energy efficient facilities in the country.
