New King crowned at Royal LePage Snow to Surf

Its the end of the Bonzai dynasty in the Royal Le Page Snow to Surf, as the Victoria based North Island Tanks were the first to ring the bell at the finish line today at Marina Park in Comox.

Yannick Michaud canoed into Marina Park and says he’s thrilled to win the big race.

Meanwhile the Bonzai’s Bill Brett says they had some major mechanical breakdowns with their bikes and were disqualified.

By the way Tsunami took second place in the 32nd Annual Royal Le Page Snow to Surf Race, Jet News spoke with team member Jonas Hudson at the finish line this afternoon.

Huge crowds turned out to check out all the action and the festivities at Marina Park as about 150 teams crossed the finish line.
