The results of Fuel Good Day were in fact a feel good story, as more than $17,000 was raised.
Five cents from every dollar of gas pumped at the 16 Peninsula Co-Op gas stations was donated to the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island. The Foundation raises and manages donations to transform the way care is delivered to kids close to home.
In total, $17,913.33 was raised.
Peninsula Co-op has been serving the Duncan to Victoria and most recently the Comox area for the past 40 years.
In 2016, the Co-op was able to contribute $400,00 towards local charities, student scholarships, capital projects and initiatives.
