EASTERN VANCOUVER ISLAND, B.C- A nasty bug that had been running through seniors’ homes in Campbell River and the Comox Valley appears to have run its course.
According to Island Health, the two outbreaks had taken place at the Discovery Harbour Care Centre and the Comox Valley Seniors Village, with both facilities putting outbreak restrictions in place.
Island Health has previously said that outbreaks are declared when three or more people have the virus.
The outbreak in Campbell River was declared over on February 15th, while the outbreak in the Valley is no longer listed as active.
