COMOX, B.C. – Three cougars were seen along Comox’s Pritchard Road last night.
That’s according to Daryle Engelmyer. He was biking home from work on Friday night when he saw a cougar with two cubs.
He was biking home along Pritchard Road at around midnight when he saw them.
“I didn’t do much. I just kept on biking, and got past where they went into the bush,” Engelmyer said.
Englemyer said they didn’t seem aggressive when he encountered them.
“He (conservation officer) told me they’re nocturnal, and to count myself lucky.”
He added that the conservation officers haven’t received other cougar sighting reports, but that they will come to the area to follow up.
