COURTENAY B.C – The final tallies have been completed for the Coldest Night of the Year walk, and the Comox Valley did very well.
The Valley as a whole, raised $95,435 for the Comox Valley Transition Society and Dawn to Dawn.
The initial goal was to raise $75,000, but the event was able to surpass that by over $20,000.
The Comox Valley ranked 13th out of 133 communities in Canada that participated in the event.

The team that raised the most money was St. Georges Church, with $8,065 raised.
Overall, the Coldest Night of the Year walk raised $5.3 million for homelessness across Canada.
