There’s a new program for kids in Cumberland. It’s a unique concept that’s been implemented in communities for years.
The Hand-in-Hand Early Years Nature Education program will take place outside at the Cole Creek Historic Park. Program Director Jarrett Krentzel says it’s something parents have been waiting a while for.
He adds that interest doesn’t just lie in the Comox Valley.
This might sound like a new age idea, but he says schools like this have been around for years.
But what about in more recent years?
And Krentzel says outdoor education is a growing trend.
The classroom is the outdoor environment at the Coal Creek Historic Park. The program begins September 2015 and registration is currently open. To find out more, visit their website at hand-in-handeducation.com or call at (250) 650-0438.
