4 walks are taking place in BC to raise autism awareness, and one of those walks is coming to Courtenay.
It’s a great cause, and it’s organized in part by Autism Speaks Canada and Comox Valley’s Robyn Nicholson.
On May 2nd at the Airpark, you can take part in supporting the autism community in the Comox Valley.
Janet Anderson is the regional walk manager for the province.

She says this walk is the first one to ever take place in Courtenay.
She adds it’s also the first Autism Speaks event on Vancouver Island.
Funds raised will go towards research, resources, awareness and advocacy, which are the 4 pillars of the organization, according to Anderson.
