After a month of Stage 3 Water restrictions, you will have a little more leeway when it comes to water usage.
Starting today the Comox Valley Water System is now under Stage 1 restrictions.
That means you will be able to use a sprinkler to water a lawn or garden with an even-numbered address between 5:00 am and 8:00 am and 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
For odd-numbered addresses, you can use a sprinkler to water a lawn or garden between the hours of 5:00 am to 8:00 am and 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The only exception to the restrictions will be for residents who are unable to water their property within the restricted days and times due to some physical or mental incapacity.
If that is the case, then they can water their property on one day per week for a maximum of nine hours a day.
