Now is the time to sign up to be a firefighter in the Comox Valley.
The Courtenay volunteer fire department is looking for new recruits to join the team of hardworking people.
You can sign up if you live in Courtenay, are at least 19 years old, have a valid B.C. driver’s license, are in good health and physical condition, and pass a fitness evaluation.
You must also be willing to get a current driver’s abstract and criminal records check, as well as attendant weekly Tuesday training sessions.

You can also pick up an application form at the Courtenay fire hall at 650 Cumberland Road, Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
