Courtenay Recreation is raising money for the Comox Valley SPCA by holding a dog swim next month.
The event will be held at the Courtenay and District Memorial Outdoor Pool at Lewis Park on Sept. 4.
The big pool and the wading pool will be open for dogs of all sizes to swim.
The swim is taking place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and humans won’t be allowed in the pools.

Van Isle Veterinary Hospital staff will be in attendance.
Only friendly dogs will be allowed at the event, and proof of rabies vaccination will be required.
Admission will be by donation, and all proceeds will be going towards the Comox Valley SPCA.
