The fire departments and Domino’s Pizza restaurants in Courtenay and Comox are teaming up on Oct. 9 to give free pizza to some residents with functioning smoke alarms.
Courtenay and Comox firefighters will be delivering pizzas in fire trucks from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The firefighters will see if smoke alarms are working after receiving permission from customers and while following COVID-19 safety measures.
Random customer’s addresses will be chosen and firefighters will replace batteries.
