The Immigrant Welcome Centre’s Welcoming Communities Coalition (WCC) and Comox Valley Arts have teamed up to create a video series featuring the stories of three newcomers to the Comox Valley.
The newcomers share their experiences while coming to Canada and settling in the Comox Valley in the three-part series called #TheresMoreToMe.
The project received funding from the provincial government, the BC Arts Council and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
“These stories help highlight that the Valley is more culturally diverse than one might think,” said Immigrant Welcome Centre executive director Jim Brennan. “We also hope that anyone who has more recently immigrated to our community will see these stories and know that they are not alone in their experiences settling in a new country.”
