Another rash of residential and commercial break and enters in the Comox Valley, that from RCMP Constable Don Sinclair who say Mounties have made some key arrests recently on numerous local “B and E’s”.
Constable Sinclair says police are appealing for any information on any recent break and enters.
On June 5th police entered into a report of a break, enter and theft at a residence on the 1900 block of Stewart Avenue in Courtenay. The homeowner returned from work to find and window open and an outside door unlocked. A large amount of Canadian coins were stolen from the residence.
On June 6th police got a report of a break, enter and theft from an unlocked residence on the 3600 block of Lake Trail road in Courtenay. The owner reports going camping for the night and upon his return found that someone had entered his residence and stolen a TV and an X-Box system.
Police also received a report of a stolen generator on June 7th from a campsite at 1812 Miracle Beach drive in Black Creek. The owner stated that sometime over the night someone unplugged and stole their Honda 2000I generator. This generator was being used to assist the complainant’s son who has a serious medical condition.
