The weather is perfect, the stages are coming together, and an army of volunteers continue their mad scramble as the 20th edition of Vancouver Island MusicFest is just about ready to take the stage. Spokesperson Susan Wood says the transformation of the Courtenay Fairgrounds site to a full on outdoor festival venue is an amazing thing to see.
Wood says they simply couldn’t pull off Vancouver Island MusicFest without all the dedicated work by scores of volunteers.

Vancouver Island MusicFest, featuring Bonnie Raitt, The Mavericks, and countless other top notch acts, kicks off on Friday and wraps up Sunday night. The event sold out early for the third year in a row.
