A Comox Valley Schools program has found a new home to store its classy outfits.
The Grad Class Attire program aims to give all students the opportunity to wear a lightly worn suit or gown on graduation day without the financial cost associated with buying a new outfit.
SD 71 work experience and careers coordinator Kelly Giorgianni says the program provides an opportunity for grads to make their graduation day more special.
The program now has a new location to store its clothes at Comox Valley Dodge. Giorgianni adds they are very thankful for the generous space donation. They will be located there until March 2023.
It will be open for fittings starting on November 19. Other dates will follow in December, February and March between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Grade 12 students from all Comox Valley Schools can schedule an appointment for choosing and fitting an outfit.
Donations can continent to be dropped off at GP Vanier Secondary school on days between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. or at Comox Valley Dodge during operating hours.
They add there’s demand for smaller-sized suits, pants, shirts and accessories.
