For a full calendar year, you’ll be able to openly see the work being done for the community and climate, because of a new Comox Valley Regional District project.
It is focused on highlighting work that the CVRD is either undertaking or already done towards its strategic priorities: climate action and community wellbeing.
“We’re challenging ourselves to share with you, our communities, one action per week that we have taken or are taking towards climate action and community wellbeing,” says the district’s Chief Administrative Officer, Russel Dyson.
Dyson says it’s in an effort to make their actions more transparent.
“Why are we doing this now? Because we have heard through the elected officials and from residents that we need to step up the actions we are taking to make the Comox Valley a sustainable and welcoming place to live now and into the future.”
The year-long project was launched on Wednesday, as part of the district’s 15-year anniversary. The project is set to end on February 15th 2024, where you can find updates by visiting the Comox Valley Regional District’s website.
