BC Hydro crews are busy across the Northern half of the island.
As of 12:30 pm 3,200 were without power. That includes just under 1,700 in the Comox Valley and 1,300 in Campbell River across eleven different outages.
The causes that have been released are for downed wires, or trees across them.
UPDATE 1:20 pm: 3,900 without power in the area. Including 1,700 in Courtenay and 2,100 in Campbell River.
The two main outages in Courtenay affecting 935 east of Van Road and 513 West of LEDINGHAM RD, North of DOVE CREEK RD, South of HOWARD RD, East of INLAND ISLAND HWY are expected back by 1:35 pm.
Update 2:40 pm: A new outage North of GUTHRIE RD, East of LERWICK RD, South of WILKINSON RD affecting 1,400 has a crew assigned to it who will be on-site at 2:45 pm. Still around 4,000 without power in Comox and Campbell River.
