BC Ferries customers can expect an increase in traffic later this month, due to an upcoming festival.
The PRISMA Sail to the Symphony and Matinee Concert will be taking place in Powell River, with the route between Powell River and Comox expected to see an increase in traffic.
The ferry corporation says that the increase will be during the 6:15 am, 9:55 am, 3:25 pm, and 7:10 pm sailing departing Comox, with the 8:05 am, 11:50 am, 5:15 pm, and 8:45 pm sailings leaving Powell River also affected.
Along with this increase, paid parking facilities at the Comox terminal will be busy in the morning because of the extra demand for parking for the festival.
The concert is set to take place on Saturday June 24th, with the expected traffic increase set to be in effect that day.
