Comox Fire Rescue says there are no injuries in a blaze this morning that destroyed a trailer and two vehicles.
According to Lt. Brent Craven, they were called to the fire at Dallas Trailer Park in the Wilkinson Road area of Comox just after 8 o’clock.
When crews arrived shortly after, they found the trailer and two cars fully engulfed in flames, but crews were able to knock the fire down quickly and keep it from spreading to other homes.
Craven says there is some heat damage to other homes and the residents were able to get out of the home quickly. No injuries were reported.
He adds this is a “great example of how working smoke alarms and being proactive and safe can save lives.”
The fire is still under investigation, but Craven says there’s no indication that the fire was caused by arson.
