The region’s fire danger rating has taken a jump, going from moderate to high.
That from Coastal Fire Centre spokesperson Marg Drysdale.
Drysdale says that high danger rating includes the Comox Valley, Campbell River and Powell River area, although the Port Hardy area sits at moderate.
