Father’s Day Kite Fly

Get in on the action on dad’s special day! Come out to the Annual Father’s Day Kite Fly, Sunday, June 16th at Goose Spit Park from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m.

Dads, moms, grandparents, friends and kids of all ages can come enjoy the beach and the colours and the shapes of the kites flying through the sky. Registration starts at noon and is FREE and open to everyone.

Bring your own kite and practice safe kite flying. Be aware of the power lines and keep your kites away from them.

Trophies and prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories, such as peoples’ choice, stunt kite, oldest pilot, largest kite, hard-luck flyer, homemade kite, and more.

Limited parking is available at Goose Spit Park and park & ride is available from Brooklyn Elementary from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
